I haven't done a lot of cooking. But I made cupcakes they were from Betty croker? But still they came out ok ann Sarah put the frosting.

New year back to bentos and healthy eating.
Sarah snack: Ritz crackers, flower cheddar cheese, kitty ham, dry peach and pucca cookies.



This is way overdue. But finally im posting my first recipe. Remember this is from a beginners cook.

Camarones Enchilados/ Creole Shrimp

1/4 olive oil
1/2 bell pepper(green)
1/3 dry vermouth
1 t salt
2 t hot sauce
1 pound of shrimp big ones
1 can of red peppers cut with liquid
1/2 onion
2 garlic
1/3 Ketchup
1 bay leave
1/2 tomato sauce

In a fry pan put the oil in medium, add shrimp until they turn pink. Remove from the pan and put aside. Add to the oil the onions,bell pepper and garlic. Fry for about 2 or 3 minutes. Add the red peppers with the liquid, tomato sauce, keptchup, bay leave,salt, pepper and hot sauce. Cook for about 10 minutes on low.

Add the vermouth and shrimp cook for another 10 minutes, adjust the salt, pepper & hot sauce and enjoy.

This recepi goes with pasta, fried rice, white rice or mash potatoes.

Im starting this blog as way to blend my girls culture with mine, I want them to be proud of there culture . I want to be able to make them good and healthy food, first I not a great cook or even a regular cook and the product of take outs, delivery and going out. BUT Sarah is getting older and I dont want her to catch my bad eating habits. I hope by the time Emily is here I will be an expert in the kitchen or at least the food will be good.This will be a trial an error thing. I will try to make some recepies and see how they turn out. I will posted here and if you try them and think of ways to make them better let me know this way we will have good food for our girls, all comments will be very welcome.
